Vocal Jazz is a class for the energetic and willing singer. This ensemble performs in two concerts a year at LVA and two district festivals. The harmonies and rhythms can be very challenging, so music literacy is a must! We work on solo and group performance techniques in and outside of class. Much of the year is also spent on jazz improvisation, theory and history.
You must audition to be a member of the class. Traditionally there have been two groups in the class – Vocal Oasis and Vocal Radiance.
