Les Chanteuses

This ensemble is for women at the Las Vegas Academy. In this ensemble we work to develop the young singer’s voice. We concentrate on the fundamentals of healthy singing, sight singing, and music theory in addition to a variety of music repertoire.  This group performs a variety of choral music.  They perform at all school concerts and district festivals.

Les Chanteuses meets during regular school hours for vocal majors – Currently periods 1 and 2 .  Extra rehearsals may be called prior to performance time. Notice will be given as far in advance as possible, and members are required to attend all of those rehearsals.

Criteria for admittance into this group are a successful audition and admittance to the Academy.
